Our client has 20 years in the marketing field,&nbsp;helping people live healthy and happy lives, acting as Research Associate at&nbsp;Berner Fachhochschule BFH. The client is very passionate about the idea of creating a mobile app for kids on their health and well-being. And we joined in to help make this idea a reality. BeeHealthy is the first Ukrainian-Swiss mobile app for children about healthy eating, mental health, and physical activity.

The mobile app developed by us helped Ukrainian refugee kids aged 11 to 15 improve their healthy eating, mental health, and physical activity spheres of life.

Together with Ukrainian refugee children in Switzerland and the Swiss Lung League, the Bern University of Applied Sciences Health (BFH-G) is developing a mobile app. With this app - "Bee Healthy" - they aim to support Ukrainian refugees aged 11 to 15 in dealing with their physical and mental health. Nutrition (EAT), stress and social skills (BREATHE), and exercise (MOVE) are addressed in a playful way. Several learning units are planned for each topic area, consisting of questions/answers, playful exercises, audio files, videos, and fun activities.

Based on initial focus group interviews with Ukrainian mothers and children in Switzerland, a digital tool (mobile app) was selected as the best medium for the program. It is intended to efficiently reach the target group, minimizing barriers to access. The program will be developed with a pragmatic, participatory, and agile approach. The content will be structured as follows:

Based on the Ukrainian program " Healthy Nutrition for School Children," this section will be further developed with the expertise of the BFH's Nutrition and Dietetics Department, findings from a cooking workshop and interviews with the target group.

The content will be based on the Swiss Lung League’s "ready4life" app. The strategies developed for this coaching app as well as tips and tricks for dealing with stress will be discussed and adapted with the target group. In this section of the app, children will learn, for example, how to reduce stress with the help of breathing, meditation exercises and physical exercises. Learning healthy stress management strategies reduces the risk of tobacco or nicotine use and thus also reduces the development of lung and respiratory diseases.

The content will be developed with the knowledge and experience of Anastasiia Nahorna, a Ukrainian who now lives in Switzerland and works at the BFH-G. Currently, an initial version (prototype) of the app "Bee Healthy" is being developed, and Ukrainian IT specialists have been recruited for its programming. The development of the app is also supported by the Ukrainian NGO "BeHealthy." This prototype will be continuously tested with representatives of the target group, evaluated and adapted where necessary.

Our client provides airline, events and VIP catering, plus ancillary services including laundry, food production, and airport lounge food &amp; beverage. Poltava State Medical University conducts undergraduate training of specialists at 4 faculties and 57 departments. Currently, 5000+ domestic students and 1300+ foreign students study at the PSMU, and the academic potential of the university involves 632 staff members.&nbsp;

The product developed by us allowed the client to significantly digitize business processes, which made it possible to increase the speed of management decision-making up to 10 times. It should be noted especially the increased loyalty of employees and students, for whom the university digital system has become an integral part of the work process. Thanks to the creation and operation of this digital system, the university became a laureate of the international exhibition "Innovation in Modern Education".&nbsp;Increasing the level of recognition of the university's brand (including with the help of digital solutions created by us) allowed the university to increase the number of students by 20% over the past 5 years.&nbsp;

Prior to the implementation of the ePlato system in the University our client struggled with handling all business processes in paper mode. There were separate digital services like e-mail or other similar services, but it was not a centralized digital system.&nbsp;Keeping students' academic success, their academic debt in paper form; paper records of academic staff and their activity, led to late management decisions that significantly lost their effectiveness.&nbsp;The use of paper circulation of documents related to students and academic staff significantly reduced the efficiency of the work of departments, faculty secretaries and university administration and led to a significant increase in time spent on routine work.

In order to unify user identification, we decided to create a single sign-on system using OpenId Connect, which allows users to sign-in either by the means of a separate login-password or by the means of a corporate email account.To meet the needs of all users who use various operating systems and screen sizes, we created a web application with mobile adaptation of the necessary software modules. The software product works on the basis of the REST API, which will allow other software products to use the existing data from the university digital system, as well as create a mobile application for certain groups of users.&nbsp;One of the product deployment requirements was the use of the client's own servers (on premise). For natively managing the cluster of Docker containers we used Docker Swarm with multiple nodes. It allowed us to have zero-downtime deployments and reliability of running instances. For monitoring and alerting we used Prometheus &amp; Grafana and Swarmprom which allowed us to deploy industry standard application and infrastructure monitoring system without additional costs.
